Ways To Give

Ways To Give

On behalf of the students who will benefit because of your generous donation, thank you. Your gift will make a difference in their lives and in the lives of all future Westminster Griffins.

Our giving levels were established to recognize gifts given by members of the school community. These gifts play an important role in helping us reach our Griffin Campaign goals every year. We invite you to make a gift at any left of support:

Gifts to Westminster School can be made in a number of ways:

Cash/Check:
Drop off to school office or mail in check to:

Annual Giving Campaign
Attn: Treasurer
Westminster School
3819 Gallows Road
Annandale, VA 22003

Please make your check payable to Westminster School.

Online:

Click here to make your donation online.

Make a Pledge:

A pledge is a promise to make a specified payment by within a specific period of time; for annual giving it is the fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). If you wish to contribute to the Griffin Fund but do not wish to make an immediate payment, you may instead make a pledge. Pledges can be made on line, by phone (703) 256-3620 ext. 13, by email (development@westminsterschool.com) or by mail.

Gift of Appreciated Securities:

Transferring a gift of stocks or bonds to Westminster School is quite simple and may offer you significant tax benefits. Please call the Development Office at (703) 256-3620 for details.

Matching Gift:

Some corporations will match your gift, doubling and even tripling the impact of your gift to Westminster. Check with the Human Resources department at your place of work to find out whether your employer matches charitable gifts. Usually companies with matching gift programs provide forms which you should fill out and forward to Westminster School.

CFC/United Way:

If you choose to designate Westminster School as the recipient of your charitable giving through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the designation number is #79935. For gifts made through the United Way, the number is #829699. To ensure that you receive proper credit for your contributions, please send us a copy of your designation for our records.

Planned Gifts:

A planned gift to Westminster School provides long term support for the school as well as tax benefits to the donor. Westminster welcomes planned gifts in the form of Bequests, Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and Life Insurance. Please contact the Development Office for assistance if you wish to include any of these in your estate planning.

Honoring Someone Through Your Gift:

Donors sometimes choose to pay tribute to friends, family, classmates, or faculty members by making a gift in their honor or memory. Simply provide the name of the person you wish to honor or remember when making your gift. These gifts will be listed in the annual report when it appears in The Westminster Review.
