Students in kindergarten have been studying different types of animals and their characteristics. Students participated in a touch-and-feel lab where they felt the outer coverings of a fish, insect, reptile, amphibian and birds. Students also compared similarities and differences between the six different types of animals.
The kindergarten also visited Green Meadows petting farm where they observed many mammals in their natural habitats. There, students milked a cow, fed sheep and goats, went on a hayride, watched a pig race and went to an animal show. Our first field trip was fun and memorable!
