“My goal is to encourage all students to take a more profound look at the world around them and to develop their own sense of self. Through studying literature, students can understand the deeper meanings of the human experience.”
Mrs. Le Moigne believes that English class should be a place where discussion and varying viewpoints are encouraged. For her, the most rewarding aspect of teaching is seeing her students make clear progress over the two years she teaches them. One of her favorite moments was when her students acted out a scene from Hamlet with exceptional enthusiasm and real understanding of Shakespeare’s language. She believes in her students and she provides opportunities for them to excel, for example she has her students design their own modern version of Dante’s circles of hell. Mrs. Le Moigne enjoys reading and writing; she is also a competitive runner with the local racing team, Capital Area Runners.
