About Us:

Westminster School has been providing high-quality educational programs for elementary and middle-school children for fifty years. Fully licensed and accredited, Westminster is an independent, coeducational day school located in Annandale, Virginia, which serves approximately 300 students in grades K-8. Westminster is a non-profit institution and holds no affiliation with any religious organization.

Staff

Summer programs are staffed by Westminster faculty, alumni, and other qualified personnel. All staff members are carefully screened through a process of interviews, reference verifications, and background checks. In addition to pre-camp orientation, staff members are required to attend training workshops and meetings throughout the summer. College-aged or older staff members are assisted by junior and co-counselors who are rising sophomores through graduates of high school.

Early and Extended Care

Parents may opt to add Early or Extended Care services to the Day Camp. Early Care is an additional $40 per week. Extended Care is an additional $100 per week. Children will enjoy games and have opportunities for free play, outdoor play, and additional activities during Early and Extended Care. Children enrolled in Extended Care will also delight in an afternoon snack provided by the Camp. A list of the snacks will be provided to parents with children enrolled in Extended Care.

Registration

Online registration and PayPal options are available now at www.westminsterschool.com; click on the “Camps” tab. Additional registration forms are also available in the school office. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due at registration. Programs fill up very quickly, so please do not hesitate.

All programs must be paid in full by June 1. Due to scheduling and staffing needs, there will be no refunds issued after June 1. Prior to June 1, refunds will be issued minus the $200 processing fee. If you must make any changes to your registration, please email camp@westminsterschool.com.

Camp fees will not be prorated based on attendance, illness, or other factors. Refunds will not be issued after June 1.

Lunch/Snack:

Students enrolled in the day camp must bring a packed lunch and non-carbonated drink clearly labeled with the child’s name. No microwaves or refrigeration are available. Westminster School is not a peanut-free school. However, every effort will be made to accommodate children with allergies.

Children enrolled in the Extended Care program must bring an additional snack, which will be eaten later in the afternoon.
