Fit Kids Can Fence
SESSION: June 13 – June 17

Bounce it, dribble it, pass it, punt it, throw it, catch it, kick it, we’ve got it! Half of each fun-filled camp day will be All Ball. This fast-paced week gives campers the opportunities to try something new and show off an expertise. Soccer, golf, basketball, football, dodge ball, bocce ball, softball, and volleyball are just a few of the games that your child will “have a ball” playing. The focus is on cooperation, not competition; every camper gets play time guided by our counselor athletes. Daily doses of yoga and rounds of heart-healthy circuits will fill the other half of this active camp. Go from couch potato to Fit Kid in just one week!

Iron Chef
SESSION: June 27 – July 1
TIME: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
TUITION: $275

Our cooking camp is kicking it up a notch with all new recipes from around the world. From toast to tapas, this camp has got it covered. Your kitchen helper will make and sample healthy recipes and enjoy taking home treats to share. Time outside of the kitchen will be spent crafting a one-of-a-kind recipe book to take home. And that's just the tip of the iceberg (lettuce)! This is a great way for “picky eaters” to get out of a rut and into the kitchen. Campers will get a “taste” of celebrity when they star on their own cooking show and run a mini restaurant.

Wet, Wild, & Wonderful
SESSION: July 4* – July 8
TIME: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
TUITION: $300

It’s all water all the time this week. We’ll be hitting the pool for some serious fun in the sun, but that’s not all. Campers will slide their way through a wet obstacle course and face off in a water balloon challenge. The highlight of this week will be a field trip to a local water park.**

* Camp is in session July 4.
**The field trip will be staggered by age groups throughout the week to allow adequate transportation and supervision.

Griffin Basketball Camp
SESSION: August 1 – August 5  
TIME:  8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.   
TUITION:  $200

Basketball Camp emphasizes the fundamentals of the game.  Mornings consist of station work on rebounding, shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, and game strategy.  Afternoons include team games and competition contests in dribbling, passing, and shooting.  All work and competitions in camp are individualized to meet the needs of the players attending.  Take advantage of this opportunity to improve your game and have fun with your friends.

Open to current Westminster Students entering grades 5-8.

SSAT Testing Prep
SESSION: August 8 – August 12
TIME:  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
TUITION: $200.00

The SSAT course will cover the basic concepts and skills needed for success on these important tests: verbal reasoning, mathematical reasoning, writing and vocabulary, and test-taking skills. Students participating in the summer prep course will take a pre-test SSAT to determine each student’s gaps in knowledge.  Instruction for students will be based on those gaps as well as test-taking strategies particular to the SSAT and SAT.  Additional prep materials will be provided and will be retained by the students at the end of the course.

This course is open to 7th and 8th grade students only.

Babysitting Certification
SESSION 1: August 15 – 16
SESSION 2:  August 17-18
TIME:  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
TUITION: $125.00

Upon successful completion of this two-day course, students will be certified by the American Red Cross.  The course covers care for children and infants, child safety, emergency situations, treating illness and injuries and much more.

Junior Engineering 1
SESSION: August 1 – August 5
TIME: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
TUITION: $200

Great hands-on learning and building experience. Students will creatively build and modify machines through basic engineering skills using unique LEGO® kits. Basic engineering principles, simple machines, forces in motion, problem solving, and communications skills are key concepts in this fascinating course.

This course is open to grades 1-3.

Junior Vehicle Engineering
SESSION: August 1 – August 5
TIME: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
TUITION: $200

Students will creatively build and modify different vehicles, including everyday vehicles, concept cars, construction machines and more, using unique LEGO® kits. The concepts covered include basic engineering principles, friction and forces, motion and aerodynamics, problem solving, and communication skills.

This course is open to grades 1-3.
